My Husband and I purchased our beautiful home in July of 2000. We have had the mortgage holder change a few other times with no problems, Not any big deal.

We pay the bill and live in the house. That's how it goes right? Except Nothing is getting withdrawn from my account for the check I wrote Midland mortgage. I attempt to contact the company regarding this issue and cant find a human. The 1-800-552-3000 number that is given to contact there "Loan Counselors" seems to have no link to a person. the (405) number above, is continually busy!

Then I receive a letter in the mail saying I did not pay last month and I will have to make another payment including $88.00 in late fees. Mind you I will also have to put a stop payment on that other check I've sent to them approximate cost $25.00. Pay to have a signature required for delivery. Oh wait that's right its a Po box? I just want to pay my bill and they are not letting me!!!

Then I go to look into this co. and find all these other complaints all over the Internet.

There is no place where it says to call with visa or master card. Are you kidding me? 7-11 takes them.

Federal Trade Commission and Office of Thrift Supervision

Those are the government agencies that regulate the finance companies.

So it's not that expensive to send it to them. Checks do get lost in the mail.

But as for Visa/MC....they would have to pay 2-5% of the amt of the payment as a cost of doing business, which wasn't written into your loan agreement. Heck, they add that fee if you use your credit card to pay taxes! But they can't at retail stores.
