I've been receiving calls almost nightly at the same time from the same number 1-800-265-8825.


Last Friday, I finally was home to answer. The call was from Sarah Williams..an agent that works with Midlant Credit Management.  She was looking for my wife. I told her she was not home, if there was anything I could do. She said she was attempting to collect a debt of $728.23 for an unpaid credit card.


I asked what type of credit card, and knew right away this could not be possible. Neither my wife or I have ever owned a Gold Visa credit card of any type.


(Keep in mind, she never asked for my name)I told her that neither one of us have ever owned any gold Visa cards. She became insistent, and started to threaten me with reporting this information to the credit bureaus. She verified my phone number and address as correct. I've had this phone number for over ten years, so it's not like I took it from anyone else.  I then asked that since she has my wife information to please give me the last four of the social security number she was looking for.  The numbers were not even close.  I know my wife's social security better than mine...anyone in the military would understand why.


Anyway, I told her that to report it to the credit bureaus, she would need the correct social security number.  She was calling the wrong person. She asked how the phone number and address match then..are you kididng me? Anyone can go to a yellow pages and find name/address/phone information!


Anyways, I asked her to please take my phone number off her list, because she had the wrong person.  Calls are still coming in from the same number 1-800-265-8825.


My wife and I were unable to find then in her credit report (or mine for that matter, we checked to make sure).  We're waiting atleast for another month or two to check again.


I wish they would stop calling though. I've already talked to the same person for three nights in a row, and actually screamed at her.  Is there anyway to stop this harrasment?


I"ve never received any letter from MCM or (suppposedly the original debt as per Sarah) Urban Trust Bank.


By the way, the number she gave me to call back is 1-800-265-8825 x53354.


If these calls don't stop soon, I will be calling them back...at 1, 2, or 3 in the morning.

I have been getting at LEAST 3 calls from these people, 7 days a week, starting at 8am and going as late as 7-8pm at night. I have answered several times, repeating the SAME thing over and over.

It's for an T-Mobile old bill, that per my records was less than 500 when they sent me my "final notice" (I'd lost my job) and that they were sending me to collections. MCM is telling me I owe over 1000 dollars now.

If the calls and the bill weren't enough, I have told them over and over, that I am a student, I am living off of the good graces of family after losing my job, I do not have unemployment or any income that I can use to pay. Their response? "Ok ma'am, I see that you have said before that you are unable to pay due to no work and no money, and you have told me today you are unable to pay due to no work and no pay. I am going to put this down as a refusal to pay."

I honestly can't believe how dishonest they are on their calls, and how they refuse to listen and just keep pushing, "we have several options for you to pay".  It doesn't matter how many times I tell them I can't pay anything, they keep repeating the same phrases over and over, or threaten to send me to some other department.

I am getting her harrassing phone calls also from the same number the above is. They call before 7am every morning. There are different approaches even if you own a bill. They even repeated back my SS number and it was wrong. Please expedite

Dear FBI federal bureau of investigation, I suspect MCM group is using low-paid foreign workers from India who could speak English. I suspect the Job of MCM is to keep calling the same number over and over asking for a Fake name or Non-Existing Person. This is a NEW kind of Making Money invented by the Chinese and India, the purpose of strategy is to bother people so they have to deal with the bills that they never owe to avoid being harassed,  I suspect MCM group also using the other method is to report to 3 credit bureaus the deb that victims do not owe .

MOST of people in US don't pay the deb that we do not owe but estimate 02% of rich people will pay to this kind of threat to avoid being harassed or to face a bad credit reports .

The math is to make phones call to thousands people a month and .02% of rich people who will pay, as I suspect it is MCM group will Make A Fortune by using this criminal method. Recently, Vietnamese police arrested 10 Chinese doing this kind of business in Vietnam .

If MCM group is a legitimate collection agency , they will not have more than 1,000 complaints file in BBB website about "wrong number" harassment  phone calls, false credit reports, also thousands of people report about MCM group on the internet about  MCM group consistent with the phone calls to a "wrong person", "wrong numbers".

Dear FBI agents, PLEASE look at these reports and start the Investigation .
