Complaint Review: Midwest Center And Good Living Labs

Midwest Center And Good Living Labs Please read this before you fall prey to this company who stole $508.86 from my checking account, without my consent, after I returned their merchandise, and they claim they never received it! They never once told me about the DVD's and "vitamins" they would be sending me for $508.86 when I initially called, thinking I was ONLY ordering some booklets for a shipping and handeling fee of $14.95. I called the 1-800 number after seeing the commercial on T.V. and the operater said they would send me the literature to manage stress and anxiety for the fee of $14.95 for shipping and handeling, I said ok and gave them my checking account number. About a week later I received the information on their program, it seemed to be "junk" and was upset I spent $15.00 for that!

About 2 weeks later I received a large 6 pound box, I didn't know what it was since I hadn't ordered anything, upon opening it, it contained DVD's from this same outfit with an invoice for $479.92!! Which infuriated me, since the person I spoke to when I initially called never mentioned this being sent to me, otherwise I would have refused this program. I am a single mother of two, and do not receive any child support, I struggle from paycheck to paycheck. Why would I agree to sign up for such an expensive "program" when I have no way to pay for it? Therefore my stress and anxiety levels went sky high!

I waited till the next week for my next paycheck, and sent the package back, which cost me $11.00. Two weeks later I get an overdraft alert from my bank alerting me my account has been overdrawn $508.86! I look it up and it was 2 charges, one in the amount of $479.92 to the Midwest Center for Stress, the second in the amount of $28.94 to some Good Living Labs?

I call Midwest Center and tell them what has happened and the person I speak with claims, they never recieved the package, so therefore they can not return my money! She also asks me why I didn't notify them I was returning it, I didn't know I needed to. So I ask her why didn't they notify me that I would be sent these DVD's for $480.00? I explained that if I had been told that on my initial phone call I would have never participated in this, she of course says I was told that. I wasn't!

Then I call the Good Living Labs and ask them what are they charging me for, she tells me the vitamins that come with this program. I proceed to tell her nobody ever mentioned anything about any vitamins, nor had I ever recieved any, and the girl insists I did recieve these "vitamins" and I was responsible for the cost, and was responsible to call them to cancel before the 30 days. Then she looks up my name and goes to pull up my "tracking" number, low and behold I never did recieve any vitamins. She then admits they made a mistake and agrees to stop the order of the 90-day supply and credit my account back the $28.94! Thank God!

I am still disputing the $480.00 for the Midwest Center, to this date I have not gotten my money back and they still claim they never recieved the package I paid $11.00 to return. I am going through extreme hardship as a result of this fraudulent scamming company. They stole $506.00 ( the $480.00 for the DVD's I do not have, the $15.00 s&h I initially paid them for this angst, and the $11.00 it cost me to return the DVD's) from me and I have nothing to show for it, but extreme stress and anxiety of how I'm going to pay my mortgage and put food on the table for my two small children. I wish so badly I had looked this company up on the internet before giving them my account number and being robbed by them. What a JOKE! If I could afford to take legal action against Midwest Center, I would
