Dear to who consume too,

For the past several months I have been the victim of
harassing and verbally abusive phone calls from the
telemarketing firm Midwest Readers Service Inc. It all started with a phone call sometime August. The first thing they said, "Congratlations, you won!" They said to me I get a free gold watch which I didn't get.

The people told me I was being entered into a contest for using my credit card, and that they also said they have some free magazines for me, but I'd just need to "help them out a little." I fool heartedly acknowledged and my troubles began. The magazines I would receive were not free, and to make matters worse I was being charged for double subscriptions for the same magazines, and for some I did not even want.

The next time Midwest Readers contacted me I wanted to cancel my subscriptions and terminate their services, in which I was told that was not possible until my current balance was paid.

I paid my balance of 44.85 and attempted to terminate their services, that's when I was told that I was not able to cancel and that I was under a verbal contract to pay for these magazines. I was told that I would have to pay 44.85 nine more times the entire balance of $852.15 before I could cancel, when I refused and sent letters announcing that I wanted to cancel the phone calls became verbally abusive. I received phone calls in the morning, evening and late at night on a constant basis.

I do not want my money back sir/ma'me; I just want an end to the harassment in which my family and I have suffered at the hands of Midwest readers Service Inc. Included with this complaint form are the letters that I have sent to Midwest reader's service inc. and an article from the department of justice in Wisconsin were there Attorney General brought actions against Midwest Readers, service Inc for there inappropriate business practices. I hope that this situation could be resolved quickly,

thank you and God bless.
