Midwest Realty Services J. Spriggs Company Stole My Deposits Plymouth, Minnesota
Myself And Fiance Had Leased A Townhome Beginning Upon 5/2011 Until 5/2012 In Which In Accordance With Any And All Lease Requirements, Submitted All Deposits Including Pet Deposits. I Was Compelled To Relocate From Minnesota To Nevada Due To Medical Reasons And Requirements. (Firstly) We Had Submitted Properly Our Notice To Depart Property Named Herein Several Months Prior To Our Lease Being Fulfilled. Once We Had Submitted Our Notice To Depart Property After Fulfilling Our 1 Year Lease, We Were Addressed And Treated With Characteristics Of Pressuring Us To Renew Our Lease (Prejudice)
In Accordance With Terms Of Lease, We Had Made Arrangements One Month Prior To Our Departure Of Property, However Only Time They Had Available Was Date Of Our Departure. (April 27, 2012) Due To Internal Difficulties At Carpet Cleaning Company, The Carpet Cleaning Crew Had Arrived Several Hours Late Following Scheduled Service Time, Ultimately Causing A Major Delay In Packing Our Belongings In A Motorhome I Was Required To Rent For My Medical Condition. Our Departure Time Was Not Flexible, As It Was Paramount Our Departure Time And Date Was Kept Strictly, As I Was Scheduled To Undergo A Kidney Dialysis Procedure Due To An Infection In My Left Leg, As I Am Also A Diabetic Double Amputee.
Since The Carpet Cleaning Company Had Been Several Hours Late, We Had Contacted Property Manager To Inform Him Of Such, In Which He Had Arrived At Original Scheduled Time Of 5:00 P.M. Regardless Of Contacting Him And Explaining The Nature Of Our Delay. Since The Carpet Cleaning Company Had Arrived Late And There Tardiness Had Provoked A Severe Delay In Packing The Motorhome And Trailer For Departure, When The Property Manager Had Arrived At Premises, There Were Still Some Of Our Belongings In Front Entrance And Hallway Of Main Floor Of Property, However He Had Opportunity To
Inspect Vast Majority Of Property, Including Complete 2nd Floor Of Property As Well As Main Floor Dining Room And Living Room, Despite Carpet Still Being Damp From Carpet Cleaners. We Had Explained The Situation To Him And Asked If He Could Return Later To Perform A Formal Walk Through In Accordance With The Lease, However He Had Declined! The Property Was Also Completely Cleaned Top To Bottom And Wiped Down Complete. We Had Departed Upon Our Profound Schedule
Without The Cooperation Of The Property Manager To Assist Ourselves. 3 Of Us Including Myself Without Legs Had Inspected And Taken Digital Photos Of Property Prior To Departure To Aide In Possible Litigation Purposes. Ultimately We Were Compelled To Depart The Property We Formerly Resided At Without Property Manager Doing Any Type Of Inspection, As He Had Declined In Returning To Property The Evening Of Our Departure. Once We Were At Our New Residence In Nevada, We Had Received A Letter From Midwest Realty Services And An Excessive List Of Cleaning And Repair Expenses, In Which If Any Repairs Were Necessary, I Alledge These Repairs Were Caused By Former Tenant Prior To Our Residing At Property Named Herein. Since We Were Unable To Remain At The Property We Had Leased To Wait For Property Manager To Perform Any Type Of Walk Through Or Inspection, I Alledge Any Expenses Upon The List Received Were Merely A "Bogus" And Extremely Excessive List We Shouldnt Be Responsible For! We Have More Self Respect Then To Leave In Any Type Of Disorder! Out Of Approximately $1450.00 For Our Original Deposit, We Had Received A Small Refund Check That Had Accompanied Letter And "Bogus" List Of Cleaning Expenses For $10.89. I Was Appailed And Insulted.
Neighbors That Lived Nearly Next Door Had All Concurred Of The Fashion And Condition The Female That Resided Prior To Us Had Left The Property Unorderly And Dirty In A Rush To Leave The Property As Several Of The Neighbors Named Herein Had Participated In Assisting Her Depart. I Had Sent A Document / Letter To Midwest Realty Company On 5/24/2012 To Dispute Any And All The Charges Named Herein, As Well As The BBB However As I Had Expected, They Had Lied!

For tenants that have read this posting, please understand that if you trash someones home that you are renting, you are responsible for the damage that you cause. If you leave a house full of items that have to be disposed of, someone has to pay to have those items hauled away, so you will be charged for this. Unfortunately, this tenant trashed the house, destroyed the carpet, didn't clean, and left numerous items that we had to remove from the house and dispose of. He has refused to respond to any of our correspondence, phone calls, or emails and apparently just wants to vent.
Remember tenants, the home you are living in is not yours, so it is important that you take care of it, fix things that you break, and expect to pay for damage that you cause. Lastly, communicate with your landlord, don't just file online complaints, that solves nothing. We are here to solve problems, and do regularly, which is why we are A rated by the BBB. www.renttwincities.com, Midwest Realty Services.
