Complaint Review: Midwest Sports Medicine And Orthopaedics

I would only hope the people in the Chicago area will hear me out and listen to this:

The medical group of Midwest Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics is not only a ripoff, but liars, unprofessional, and scam artists.

I was sent to their offices by a joke of a chiropractor. After sitting in their waiting room, and then in a treatment room FOR ALMOST AN HOUR the doctor (who had a significant attitude problem) came in, and did a five minute examination of me. All he did was order an MRI.

They refuse to bill my insurance whatsoever. I didn't have the card with me at the time of the services; however, I was given their billing office number, and called them and spoke with Katie in that office several times. Bills kept coming until finally I sent them a copy of my insurance (the same one I had back then)certified mail. I also discovered that they were illegally using a "collection agency" to collect this bill. (I discovered this little stunt after I looked at the back of the bill, and saw the FDCPA law for collection agencies on the back.)

After I caught them on this matter, they sent me to a bonafied collection agency.

After being sent to the first agency (in which I sent a cease communication letter) they sent me to a second agency, in which I sent another cease comm. letter. They also misrepresented the amount I supposedly owe them.

My advice to anyone who reads this report is not to use their services. Their service is very substandard and they will rip you off in a heartbeat.
