Complaint Review: Miguel Karam Bencatel Canhao

I was a victim of credit card fraud committed by Miguel Karam Bencatel Canhao, also known as Edward Sampson. About 3 months ago, I attempted to make a purchase using my Visa credit card for a knife with the assistance of this individual. However, Miguel informed me that the  transaction was declined.

Two months later, I received a shock when I checked my account statement and discovered that Miguel Karam Bencatel Canhao, under his alias Edward Sampson, had attempted to make multiple unauthorized transactions on my card. When I checked my credit card statement, I noticed a transaction was made to Rappi Rappi Brasil, a food delivery company based in São Paulo, which he successfully completed.

The reason I checked my credit card statement in the first place was because I received a fraud alert text message from my bank indicating that an attempted purchase was made to SA*Fastsigns, an electronics company also based in São Paulo, Brazil. After calling my bank I found out that this transaction was attempted three times, all of which were declined. These transactions were not authorized by me and are the result of fraudulent activity. I am certain that they were attempted by this individual because he is the only person I know who has lived in Sao Paulo and he had my card number from the attempted purchase.
