Mike Ingram ATT U-Verse sales lied, not mislead, me into understand I was only getting a faster internet & it would be cheaper if I allowed them to bunndle it with one of my 3-phone lines. Jacksonville, Florida

ATT-Uverse division of Bellsouth, U-Verse or what ever structured name they call themselves has recently acquired Bellsouth. This appears to be the final death grip of customers in the Southeast US buy taking control of our land lines. ATT needs Bellsouths investiture (copper lines) to control our communications and gain control of late pays and disconnects.

I was sold the "U-Verse pkg" which took me from 6meg dwn load service to 24meg dwn load service and if I allowed ATT to "piggy back" on the existing copper wire lines, I could save at least $100. I was sceptical so I went into great detail and asked specific questions about their abilities to allow me to call anywhere in the US and Internationally. I asked her to stop telling me the great things this could do for me, tell me what I lose or what would change if I use U-Verse. I was told I would only get a discount, a huge discount for letting ATT use my existing wires.

I was never told about the inability to dial 911 or dial 911 as quickly as I could if it were an all copper line. I was never told that their install techs would be charging for the average install. I was told that my fax and back-up fax could be connected and working when the tech left, if they were doing so before he arrived. I was not told that my service would be in The Philippines, India and or Malaysia. I was never told I would lose my fax phone line to the depths of the business side of ATT to never return to me me. I had this number and the other two numbers for approx. 15-18 years.

They never told me that I was always going to be "BLOCKED BY ATT POLICY" from contacting the head (HA !!!) of the U-Verse side of ATT, the South East region or the Head of North East Florida or even the head of Jacksonville. I wasn't told I would have to pay a tech out of my pocket (CASH) to fix the problem of the ATT supplied  router, not being able to go through a 2,000 sq. ft. track home with normal walls and layout. The tech said he would do me a "Favor" and run an extra line to my master brm so I could get the 24meg service, for only $100. I told ATT, and nothing was done for quite a few months. 

About 6-8 mths later and the threat of lodging a complaint wit the "FCC" ATT finally installed a Cissco unit, they also called it an "amplifier" a "signal extender" it is a CISSCO ROUTER and it somewhat resolved the range issue. The wireless notebooks have a hard time knowing which router to connect with, the signal became weaker and ATT cordless home phones were staticy all the time.

I also found out that ATT has separated companies within their different companies. For example Bus. & Residential. Seems normal enough but they don't have computer access to each others records. After they sold my number (automatically all res. phone numbers go to bus. never to see residential again) they finally gave me the number back but as a bus. account. I have to spend two hours with the res. side before I can talk with Bus. or vise versa only to hear the other say "they can't see the others files so they can't help me, call the other. I assume it is for legal reasons that they keep their assets separated, in order to limit their liabilities.

Did you know ATT bills you for service calls that they deem were the customers problem? My service was dwn and they had me do everything under the sun to get it to work, "OVER THE PHONE, CHEAP LABOR" but when that failed and they sent a tech. out I was charged $55 two days in a row because I tried to get the service working and I had their two green wires (dumb) crossed up.

I have never found or received a phone number or call back from the "ATT GOD'S" yet, they work so hard at selling their products, they don't have the staff to service them. ATT blows you off, creates company policy's that 99.9% of the time, prevent you from getting to the head clown in charge of this 3-ring circus. If someone has his or her name and number, please pass it or post it and let others know how to reach them. Sending letters doesn't work, they claim not to receive them. E-mail is never given out or staff ignores them, you get a computer generated response that is so general, its worthless.

I have spent over 160-hrs in the past 10 mths. trying to save $100+ per month on a simple speed change to my internet so I could get 3-D dwn load  for my TV & Internet. If I didn't work at home so much, I couldn't have been able to afford the waiting, making appointments, tech calls to both bus. & res, customers service calls to both bus. & res, and complete loss of service as wells as internet speeds as low as 1.57mgs instead of my 24-megs that were changed to 18-megs because ATT couldn't get anywhere near that speed because their were "to many people using the same service". What kind of service is it, if you post 30meg ability but you can only promise a best effort of 24meg?

If you finally, decide after 8-mths. that your not going to pay your bundled bill, they cut off your Direct TV, Your Cell phones, your house phones and your internet. Please take the time to complain to the FCC and anyone else that sees over the "BADLY NEEDED REGULATIONS" that companies like ATT or are similarly run like ATT so we can put a stop to the LYING, FALSE ADVERTISING COMPANIES like ATT.
