Complaint Review: Mike Mercadante

Well...too all the decent hardworking people that are dealing with Mike (Michele) Mercadante of Niagara Falls or the GTA of Ontario, Canada.  It is best if you contact me prior to handing over ANY money to this crook.  If you have already passed him money....still contact me

MM was introduced to me by a Mortgage agent(DS) who I have known for over 15 years.  This agent has also been scamed and left holding the bag, he is also partially to blame for my situation. 

I loaned MM $25000.00 in the form of a promissory note, payable in 30 days, for a fee of $5k, on Sept 27,2009 . The collateral he used was his personal jewelery, a storage pod full of high end furniture and a 2003 Dodge Durango. 

Lesson #1: Go with your gut.......mine told me something was fishy, but I had faith in the long time associate mortgage agent.  GO WITH YOUR GUT!!!

He defaulted on the payout.  And I have been chasing him ever since, for the money AND for the collateral.  I have done LOTS of research regarding his family and friends, of which he has very little, due to his actions. 

Along the way I have discovered that this crook has done the very same thing to many others.  AB and DD and MaM and BB just to name a few.  He likes to bring mortgage agents deals.  The information is usually Very incorrect.....MORTGAGE AGENTS AND LAWYERS....BEWARE!!!!!

I have taken legal action and served him a Statement of Claim.  He has attempted to SETTLE, but has failed to produce any paperwork to back up his mouth. He has attempted to derail my efforts to pursue him by telling my lawyer that I threatened him and his families lifes...NOT A CHANCE IN HELL OF THAT MIKE!! But nice try.  If you are affraid MIKE, go to the police and show them your proof!!!!!!  As of May 20, 2010(today) I have instructed my lawyer to proceed to a Summary Judgment.  Maybe I will get the storage pod afterall....providing he's not in defaulted on the monthly payment!!LOL

He's provided documentation to me that was signed with the forged signature of his brother(PM). I have spoke with his brother(PM), he is very upset that Mike did that and that he hasnt returned the Durango. (PM) wants it back.  Lets hope that Mike isnt caught driving a vehicle with a suspended licence! MM continues to hide in Niagara Falls Ontario. 

He owes the following money.

Me $35k +legals + interest. BB $30k +legals + interest.  AB $27k +legals+ interest.  DD $78K +legals +interest.  MaM $75k

With the exception of MaM....we all have supporting documentation that has been or will be provided to the police when requested.  I know this might seem like a Civil matter, however, there is a constellation of actions, crossing several municipal jurisdictions.  Not to mention that mortgage fraud is fraud in the case of BB.

This little story is just the tip of the iceburg.  I will be updatinig it regularly

Oh...did I forget to mention that he has been bankrupt twice, and hasnt held a REAL job for awhile...all in an attempt to be a DeadBeat Dad...with NO drivers licence. What a classy individual.
