This happened in Mira Mesa, San Diego, CA. I was buying lunch when a man in a silver rental van (Dodge Caravan?) came up to me and asked if I wanted to see some Italian leather jackets. He said he just came from several fashion shows, and his last one was in La Jolla. He said he had to sell the jackets because of some tax he would have to pay if he were to bring them on his flight back to Italy.

He said the jackets were 100% authentic and real leather and made in Italy. He asked for $500 for all 3, but I said I wasn't interested, nor did I have that kind of money. He kept saying that these jackets were worth thousands. Yes, he was very persistent and persuasive. So he offered to give them to me if I simply bought him a camera as a "souvenir".

Somehow, he convinced me to buy a pricey camera for him by my credit card, and he gave me the 3 jackets and left. It all happened so quickly. I'm still in shock. I totally believed him and thought he was honest.
Also note that I am still not sure if these jackets are indeed fake or not, but my situation was painfully similar to another person's story written on this site, by Luis, who said he checked out the jackets and they were indeed NOT made in Italy and FAKE LEATHER!

In fact, if you're reading this Luis, we need to talk, because I wouldn't be surprised if we were fooled by the exact same guy (SAN DIEGO).

Anyway, I feel so stupid. Do not buy from these guys!!!
If anyone knows whether I can do something about this, let me know.

I really want my money back, but I'm not sure if that's possible, given the way I paid this guy. He lied about the jackets being authentic brands and quality, and I want something to be done to these guys. And I hear there are a lot more of them out there, so beware.

I'm really pissed, we "victims" should definitely contact each other and discuss what to do.
