Complaint Review: Mile High Nannies Inc Wendy Brown

My wife and I contacted Wendy Brown (~10/1/2002) following a personal recommedation from a good friend. After contracting her for a discount fee ($500 up front) she agreed to set us up with prospective nannies to help us care for our soon to arrive daughter (due 11/8/2002, delivered 11/12/2002).

Over the next 6 weeks we recieved not a single call from her, despite ~10 calls from us to her asking for updates, growing concerned and finally (on my wife's due date) demanding out money back. Over the past 3 weeks we have called Wendy ~8 times more and have received excuses, apologies and 2 assurances that the "Check is in the mail".

We are now being forced to pursue civil litigation to get our money back. I hope this message keeps somebody else from making the same mistake.
