Milestones Ranch Malibu Contributed to the Suicide of my friend ripoff Malibu California
Milestones Ranch Malibu has many lawsuits and complaints filed against it by former clients and the State of California because of: suicides of clients; sex and drug use between employees and clients and unlicensed therapists working in this fraudulent drug and alcohol treatment center.
Milestones will take all of your money and when you don't have any more they will have the L.A. County Dept. of Mental Health come and pick you up and take you to the County Psych Ward. Since it is now prohibited from bringing its' clients to Malibu AA Meetings Milestones now espouses the very dangerous Harm Reduction Therapy that proclaims that alcoholics and drug addicts can practice controlled drinking and using.
Milestones will tell you anything to get your money and then when you request the treatment you paid for they will tell you that you are a sick, selfish self centered mental patient who needs a higher level of care, but they will not refund your money.
Bi-polar, alcoholics, drug addicts, sex addicts needing recovery treatment will be sent out to specialists at additional cost to the client.
Milestones is located on the property of www.calamigos.com which is in the business of private parties and weddings at which alcohol is served within a few feet of the Milestones houses and drunken celebrants often enter the Milestones two houses. The noise, dust, crowds and music are very loud and can be heard and felt in the treatment houses.
Ask Milestones about: the suicides of clients Hayden Williams and Damien Magglos; about employee Susan Sizer having sex with client Damien leading to his suicide; about employee Sean O'Neill having sex with clients Lorraine Lee and Nyla Dixon; about Milestones owner Rod Young being an obnoxious practicing alcoholic; about Clinical Director Jeff Schwartz and Marketing Director Lynn Wosk getting fired for using cocaine and alcohol upstairs at Milestones.
Ask Milestones about their ongoing investigation by the State of California and how many clients have sued them. Run a credential check and find out who at Milestones is licensed by the State of California: http://www.bbs.ca.gov/weblokup.htm
There are many other good rehabs in Malibu but if you really want to go to Milestones pay by the day or week so that you don't get totally ripped off when you find out that they are into destroying lives for a fast buck. Check out the entire ranch on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when there are picnics, parties and weddings. The Karl M. listed in the Milestones testimonials is a hoax.
At Milestones/Calamigos, 327 S. Latigo Cyn. Rd., Malibu, CA 90265, you can get drunk, get married, go to rehab, go to jail and spend $100,000 all in one day at the same address!

Please delete this report that I maliciously posted while withdrawing from my psychiatric medications. My words are very mean, untrue and I sincerely apologize for them. I need to you to delete this report so that I can live with myself. Milestones Ranch Malibu helped to have the life that I have today. I was very angry at someone else when I posted these lies. Denise Klein's rebuttal is true and I cry when I read it. All the rebuttals to my complaint are true and I want to stop hurting innocent people who have only helped me. Dean McAdams, Glen Gerson and other Milestones Ranch Malibu employees should not have to pay for my really bad judgment.

As director of this quality treatment facility, it breaks my heart to have to reply to such malicious, false and distorted statements. I waited a long time ( 28 months ) in hopes that
it would go away.
The Internet when used in its "purest" form is a wonderful mechanism for education and information exchange. It is a solution for all of society to grow and learn from. However, in this scenario it was used as a weapon to exploit money and hurt many innocent people
I promise you that our treatment center has helped hundreds of people get their lives back, offered thousands of dollars in scholarships to people who cannot afford treatment and saved countless families and their loved ones who entered treatment.
Our staff members are dedicated, pure and honorable people who are committed to
the pursuit of excellence in regard to raising the standard of care in the industry each and every day. They are are the most well-intentioned people I have ever come across and they give countless hours of their free time to help the clients who arrive at our facility get well and stay well. Their care-giving jobs are more of a ministry then a job for them. It is evident to all who walk on the property and spend time that there is healing and true care-giving taking place at this treatment center.
We are so incredibly proud of our program. Our goal is to help as many people as we can for as long as we can. We are blessed to do what we do and our commitment to the "recovery world" is to continue to raise the standard of care by offering education, on site training
forums, ongoing family therapy programming, fundraiser's for inner city youth, free community substance abuse education nights, training for the clergy and doctors, networking luncheons, and picnics for the less fortunate and the list goes on and on.
Please check out all of the testimonials on our web site, call the center, interview the staff, have lunch on the beautiful grounds and your optimism about the field of recovery and addiction will be re-inspired!
We are and will continue to be an incredible place of healing for families whose loved ones suffer from addiction and their loved ones who self-medicate their mental health conditions.
