Complaint Review: Milinex Power Storm Vacuum

I saw an ad on TV on Oct 15 offering a Milinex power vacuum for 3 payments of $39.95 with an extra unit free. And a free steamer if I would pay the freight on it.

I ordered the vacuum by phone and used my Visa card. They stated that the order would go in on the following Monday.

I got suspicious when I looked under Milinex on the web and saw a Rip-off Report on them, so I called their 800 number and tried to cancel the order. I couldn't talk directly to anyone because everything was on a recording.

On Monday, Oct 17 I called Visa and suspended the account. It has been suspended for a week and I called Visa to see if they had tried to charge for the order and was informed that a charge had come through in the amount of $350 which was returned unpaid.

There is no question in my mind that their ad is a scam and after reading the Rip-off report I am thankful that you are available.

I would think that the state of California would find out about them and shut them down.
