I purchased carpet from Mill Creek Carpet,in Bartlesville Oklahoma. This carpet was almost 23.00 a square yard, sculpted Berber. The carpet was off white.I purchased this carpet and it was laid in April of 2002.The carpet was not only not laid right but I have not been able to have it cleaned ,even though I have tryed two diffrent companies out of Bartlesville.

We had walked on this carpet with our sock feet and never has oil been spilled on it nor has it been tracked on carpet.

In September, I was having company to come ,so I wanted to get the what appeared to be black marks treated that were appearing in the carpet.

The first carpet company came out and used a pretreator. After they were finished it looked like carpet had came clean until it dried. There were all the spots that was there before cleaning.

I thought it was their fault and blamed them.I should have listened to the lady because she said it could be the carpet.

The next day because I was desperate I had another company come and try to clean it.At first the same results. The carpet looked clean but upon next day inspection it was not clean.

That day I called MIllCreek who told me they had to get an inspector out to check it from the Manufacture.I waited and waited and then I called their Tulsa Office and told them I was tired of the run around and wanted something done.

I told them I would get an attorney because this carpet was less then 6 months old.The lady I spoke with in Tulsa told me that if I did that, she would stop all communication with me and not file the claim.

I waited some more and got more run around till he showed up in Nov and then I didn't recieve a answer back until Dec 26.

Mohawk said it had nothing to do with warranty and that it appeared to be oil ,not that it was but it appeared to be!

I was told by the salesperson in Bartlesville that this carpet when I purchased it, that it was highly resistant to staining and that it could be cleaned with even bleach water.Because it was off white this was a great relief to me ,so I purchased.

The back of the carpet warranty states nothing about stains reoccuring after cleaning but yet that is what the Manager told me ,after we got into it.They told me because of this kind of carpet and something about the air flow that stains could come back after cleaning.
If they had told me this in the beginning.I would have never spent that much money on carpet.

I have also Rheumotiod arthritis and I thought this carpet would be easy to clean and it is not.
I can't get Millcreek to do anything nor can I get Mohawk as both of them tryed to pass the buck.

I guess next thing for me is to go on the news and to tell my story and then to appear in front of their store with a sign, stating what a rip off they are!
I will never recomend them to anyone and I live in a area that has no carpet store.

So they have lost more then my 1600.00 for two small rooms.

I will not stop till I get some results.
If I had known, what I know now about Mohawk and Mill Creek,I would never have purchased such expensive carpet.
Fair is fair and right is right.
They ripped me off.I would have been better off to pay 8.00 a yard for something and then have it replaced.

This was not oil on the carpet.
I don't know what it was because nothing had been spilled in the walk paths of my house.Carpet was always walked on with sock feet and clean sock feet I might add.

Alot of my points has to do with Mill Creek, so called warranty.

In this particular carpet which was made by Mohawk,I was never offered a copy of my warranty and never thought to ask because this company had been in a business for awhile.

Big, big mistake on my part to only go by the back of the carpet and what that warranty stated.
It states nothing about stains rising again to the top after cleaning.Nor does it state that warranty is only good against food and beverage items.Which it did not hold up to that either.
There is things online that states negative things about carpet made from Ofelin and one of those is that once a stain gets in it is hard to get out unlike what the salesman at Mill Creek or Mohawk states about this carpet.

I wish they had told me that or I had it read it first and I would not purchased this.
