Please do not use Millennium Moving and Storage based out of Los Angeles for several reasons. We recently moved cross country and per the contract we had with this "moving company", they were to notify us 24 hours in advance of delivery. Instead they notified us 1 hour before delivery. We were not present. They informed my parents that for an extra $1000 dollars, they would move the items into the house otherwise they would unload them and sit them at a point at the the end of the driveway, a point a half-acre from the house. My parents refused as we had already paid Millennium in full prior to moving. This forced my mother and father, who are 69 and 70 respectively, to move the items indoors. As a result my mother suffered a heat stroke as this was the hottest part of the day and year when they unloaded the items. There was sufficient room for the truck to go up the drive way but the "truckers" refused to driver the truck up the driveway. As well, my parents were told to, "Hurry up," as they had other shipments to drop-off. Boxes were lost, items, not boxes, were written on for "inventory purposes." Their staff at the office was very rude.
A claim was filed but declined by the claim company. The funny thing is though, we never filed a claim as we had talked to our lawyer and he advised us not to file one as the moving company would simply turn it down for "insufficient information". Tada- that is what happened, they turned down our claim, but again, who filed the claim? NOT US!! We never filed one yet "our claim" was denied. The claim company is a separate company in AZ known as Anthem Claim Management, Anthem, AZ. They are a lousy company and I vowed that I would do what I could to make sure other consumers would not fall victim to this company. Also, the original quote and actual delivery cost charged to us had a difference of nearly $3000.
Please do not use Millennium Moving-based out of Los Angeles. There is another in Pennsylvania that is not affiliated with this lousy Los Angeles Company.
Please spread the word about Millennium Moving and Storage.
