Complaint Review: Milwaukee Burger Co.

I went there with my dad, my little sister, and my brother after a hike. The waitress had attitude immediately as we were sitting down at the table she was impatient with my brother who has autism as he was ordering his burger. My sister ordered a beer, she asked for an id and my sister did not have it on her since we were hiking so the lady said she can’t give her beer bc of that. My sister is 24 years old and the law in WI states if you are 16 and accompanied by your parents or guardian you can consume alcohol. Well, I explained to her that we’re here with our dad and our older brother and she still refused to serve my sister.

I went to order myself a beer and gave my sister one and called the manager over and explained to him that I don’t want issues with the waitress my sister is here with her dad and she’s 24 and he said he would not allow her alcohol. I asked why because the law allows her too and he argued that it wasn’t the law so I just went back to the table relaxed for maybe 2 minutes before the manager storms onto the patio and said he won’t allow her to drink...I showed him the law on my phone and he got mad and changed his story to well we can refuse service to anyone...I don’t know what he meant by that but seems like he’s struggling with a power trip being a manager.

So after the rude waitress with my brother, the refusing to serve us alcohol, and everything else in between we left. I called the place back to make sure I got a refund on my drink and the manager said that he never said that. HE DEFINITELY DID. All that being said, I would never go here and I definitely spread the word to many people...I’m so tired of awful people ruining others days for no reason. Over a beer? Really he could have served her a beer after asking our dad but he would rather escalate the situation.
