Quality of Milwaukee tools has gone way down!! I'm a retired handyman and used to put my faith in Milwaukee tools due to having had some of the first m18 series. I bought those tools years ago, put them through hell while doing CATV work as well as handyman and still rely on the old drill when these newer drills( yea, MOREthan just one!!) fail after just a few months.. One of the newer drills is dead after six months, another lasted just under a year. The 18 V reciprocating saw was dead around 7 to 8 months. I literally used it just a few times..as I mentioned earlier, I'm retired, I don't use these tools that much. Considering the cost, they should've lasted me for the rest on my life due to the fact that I hardly use them anymore. My wife bought me the 18 v Milwaukee Brad nailer and crown stapler last year for Christmas. The Brad nailer just stopped working yesterday when I found out you can't use it for hardwood! The hardwood specifically is half inch eucalyptus, Sometimes called Tasmanian oak. The piece of crap Milwaukee brad nailer couldn't push the brads all the way through 1/2" boards. On the fourth attempt to shoot a brad into this half inch wood, it's starting making a screeching sound along with an unusual popping sound and now Does Nothing.. The newer drills can barely drive a screw into any wood that's not SOFT..  my $500 18 v miter saw craps out when I pull the trigger!! It's acts like I'm pulling and releasing the trigger repeatedly before finally holding it on constant. Happens with EVERY CUT!!  I have to wait for it to stop acting up and run enough to make a cut!! I've tried multiple different NEW blades with no noticeable difference. I can't afford to just replace all my cordless tools! So now I'm stuck wondering whether or not the tools can actually work when I need it. The newer style Milwaukee tools are producing are basically crap. Warranties are cute when there's only one or two tools that need repair.. from what I've seen overall, Milwaukee tools are unreliable!!!
