Order wrong 3 times in a row since February. Was told by Al he would refund my order since this is
the 3rd time in a row. The first time my family took a day drive to Yakima JUST TO EAT AT MINERS,
(my daughter loves the place). Each time I was told to submit my name and come back next time. I
never come back to collect because to me it feels cheap. I just order my food and pay as usual.
This time 3RD time!!!! I asked to just have my ticket refunded because this is just plain ridiculous.
AL the manager on July 4th,2014 at 9pm told me to bring the burger back, I told him that's good for
his establishment but Ive already visited once, and paid once, and spent the time going there. Why
should I have to waste my time AGAIN on this issue? AL said he would refund my order to make it
right, and this time I agreed simply based on principle. I want what I pay for. I do well over a 250k a
year, the money isn't that big of an issue, but after getting ripped off 3 times in a row I had to hold
them to their promise. We didn't make it that night back to Miners, we watched the fireworks and my
son fell asleep. So we went back to the Oxford Suites.
The next day Gary's son comes to the window with a 3 inch stack of complaint forms...none of which
AL filled out on my behalf. Gary Miner, the owner told me to go somewhere else. He told me that 3
wrong orders is too many and I should never return to his establishment.I advised him I travel to
Yakima each month and my family eats at Miners as we have for several years. This is a long
standing establishment and that actually sucks for us because we are just asking to get what we pay
for. He then put his job in my lap and suggested that I check every burger for accuracy before I
leave the window. So now I have to open each burger??.... careful not to get the messy toppings all
over....in my car!... and verify the accuracy,of each burger!... which is what he pays his employees to
do. I pay $8 for a double bacon burger so that I don't have to have the McDonald's experience. It
happens here and there and NOBODY is perfect...but 3x in a row? Certainly gives reason for the 3
inch stack of complaints for wrong orders. When I pointed out the large stack of complaints Gary
told me that stack is out of 15000 customers. (I do twice that volume in my business and have 16
unsatisfactory complaints in over 30k customer transactions all of which are far more complicated
then a burger and fries...point being Gary is really sucking it up in that area!) So now........ (SO FAR),
my order is wrong, I have been promised by the manager a refund out of simple principle, and I have
traveled to the window of Miners the next day just to be told by the OWNER-Gary Miner, that its my
job to get the food right and then the unfortunate happens----- GARY makes the ACCUSATION that I
AM TRYING TO GET FREE FOOD! LOL, seriously?! He then tells me he had a group of people last
week get him for "a bunch" as he put it,...free food. I told him that was insulting and if he is jaded by
his experience in the industry maybe hes ready to retire. Accusing a customer of asking for free
food just because they are tired of getting ripped on a simple burger and fries order is ludicrous!
Now at this point we have been accused of fraud, ripped off, and yelled at by Gary Miner. For some
reason he ignored the photo I supplied of my incorrect burger with that slimy soggy lettuce all over
it,...which make for a nasty burger, which is why I ordered it MY WAY!!!!
All this because we just wanted a simple bacon cheese burger with ketchup,mayo, and easy onion. I
remind you all that we did paid for this up front, but did not get it....on 3 separate trips to Miners!!!!!!!
Apparantley this is the way it works at Miners now :

Pay premium price for a burger. Get what they shove out the window (even if the kid doing it
perfectly recites back to you what SHOULD be in the bag.) Check the work of Miners employees(am
I getting paid for this?) Drive away happy.
Or
Pay premium price for a burger, have care free happy conversation with family while waiting, pay,
smile and thank the poor kid slaving at the window and drive away. Upon arrival at dining location,
find out food is wrong, call AL,get false promises, then meet with Gary Miner who will hurl
accusations at you(bring legal defense) and drive away with the worst feeling about what you
thought was the coolest burger joint since the mid 80's (my first visit to Miners as a child). And Gary,
my family is disgusted by your behavior, and my daughter thinks you suck. She used to look up to
Ms. Miner as a female business owner in a small town kickin butt...... what a Major blunder. You
should be ashamed of yourself Gary. Good luck with your hussle.
