I was at walgreens, and Physicians Formula had a promution for a rebate of purchase price on their overpriced (I will explain exactly WHY $13 is overpriced) "Talc Free Mineral Wear Mineral Foundation"
SO I bought it because it was free and I mistakenly thought I had nothing to lose.

First of, when I got it out of the package, I realise it had a disgusting little sponge that the foundation had to flow through to be applied. Having just watched a scary show on bacteria in makeup, I thought how unsanitary. But the package claimed that the sponge was antibacterial.

Second, I filled out the rebate form and mailed it in. A couple months later, I got a green slip, not a rebate check, claiming falsely that although I admittedly sent in the receipt and the UPC, I did not fill out the proper computer printout. THey said to (resend) in the printout, and the green slip by a certain date, and only then would they honor my rebate, which I had already filled out.

SO I went to do that until I realised the date on the green slip had already passed. So I emailed them with what happened and how I had been inexplicably wronged. No response. SHows what crappy customer service they have.

SO anyways, I figured I'd still use up this overpriced makeup which at first was no better than ordinary makeup, but by the second or third day, had already spoiled. The sponge was something nasty. Then it caused my face to break out in a rash. Now I only put on foundation on a clean face, and I pinpointed that as the definate product that was causing my face to breakout. ANd I mean bad. I have never had anything like it.

At first I didn't want to believe that my ripoff makeup did this, but sure enough, right after I completely cleared up, I put this crap on, and by halfway through the day, my face was broken out. SUch a horrible rash I had to get hydrocortizone rash cream as the only thing to stop it. That and not using this makeup, which was only about a month old at the most.

SO I go to the dollar tree, everythings a dollar, right? ALL the Physicians Formula stuff is there, full sized, for a dollar. That is more than this stuff was worth. I am sitting with a 95% full bottle of it in my lap right now, and am ready to toss it in the trash. Physicians Formula my a$$.

I wouldn't put this stuff on my face again if they paid me, and they used dishonest tactics (false promise of a full rebate) to con me into buying this supposedly " hypoallergenic " overpriced bottle of chalky lies in the first place.

before I toss this out, I want to share what the back of the bottle claims.

*for extra sensitive or breakout prone skin (!)
*gentle talc free formula can help reduce irritation and break out (!)
*Unique delivery system through custom Yukilon Tera sponge:contains an antimicrobial agent that forms a protective sheild that helps keep the product pure and safe. (probably a reason its still unique!)

Now into the trash it goes. What a waste of $13. That they denied my rebate for without any just cause.
