I was moving into a new place and was told Minima was a great place to purchase really modern furniture. The selection was good and the salesperson was amazing. His name was Chuck and I hope he gets out of there and finds a real job with a real company. The owner of this company is the worst person I have ever dealt with. I went in and ordered a couch, a chair, dining room table with six chairs, bed and a bench. I was shocked when the total came to $28,000.00 but I really liked the pieces and the salesperson was really nice he definately went the extra mile.

So I was told 50% down and 50% before delivery I gave my credit card for $4,000.00 and then sent in a check from my checking acct. for $10,000.00. The next day the owner Eugenia was calling me non stop asking for more money. She wanted all the in stock items paid for 100% that day and the rest I needed 50% down. I told her that her bill of sale said that it was 50% and that I was extremely busy and I will pay when the items were ready for delivery and I was moved in. She then replied she is going to sell the items and she wouldn't refund me the money.

I told her at that point I am cancelling the order and good luck selling a 9,000 dollar couch which I was having buyers remorse. She than sent me a bill stating the chair and the couch were non refundable non returnable. So i just let it go. Then my move in day. I sent in a personal check from my account and she didn't deposit till the day before move in. Everything was supposed to be delivered that day. But she told me that since the check didn't clear she was not delivering all the items. We went back and forth and i told her the couch and chair should be delivered the money i already paid covered them and i want to at least sit at my new house.

Well she charged me $180 dollars to deliver six blocks and she asked for my credit card so she could run 4k....i told her no and said i will not allow that charge but i will give you a credit card number and if the check bounces I you can run it. Now I don't keep money in my checking account due to interest. Well i found out the next day right when i gave her the money she ran my card making her check bounce and multiple other ones i got 250 dollars in fees. I called her and this was the last straw i told her i was done.

I cancelled the rest of the order and i will keep the chair and the couch refund the rest of my money. She then went and charged my card another time for 4,000.00. She ripped me off for $8000.00 of unauthorized charges... I can't believe a business owner is doing this. And beware i am currently filing fraud charges and lawsuites for the damages.... don't go there...

Just to keep it short and to the point this man delivers a $11,000.00 check the day before delivery and the next day while the delivery company has his furniture I find out from my bank his check has bounced for insufficient funds. This incident was resolved in February 2009 without going to court or a lawsuit by Minima.

Months later on  November 2009 I received a letter informing Minima that he is being investigated by the US Department of Justice in Pennsylvania.
