I purchased an IBM motherboard from Minnesota Computers on December 4 2006 using a credit card. The motherboard turned out not to be the right one, so I immediately returned it (december 8, 2006). I waited approximately 3 weeks for the credit to my charge card, but it did not show up. I then tried contacting the sales person i dealt with and was informed he was out for 2 days, but would deal with it upon his return. A week later I contacted them again, and got his voice mail and left a message. I also emailed him. After another week I called again and was informed he had left the company and someone else was looking into my case. I triedf repeatedly to contact that person and usualy got back an email saying they were "looking into it". Finally they stopped replying to email at all, and I could get nothign but voice mails for the sales people. In february I filed a chargeback with my credit card company, and was awarded the amount of teh sale. Minnesota Computers contested it and the charge reappeared on my credit card. Their reasoning was because of their restocking fee. I was treated badly, and dealt with the worst customer service I have ever had in a transaction. I recommend never purchasing an item from Minnesota Computers. I certainly will not ever use them as a supplier again.

Minnesota Computers transaction above with Mr. Branson.

#2REBUTTAL Owner of company

On December 4th, 2006, Mr. Ford purchased an IBM system board Part # 89P7933 from Minnesota Computers. He paid $185.00 via credit card for the board through Minnesota Computers online order system that explains in detail the warranty, shipping costs, return policy, restocking fees etc...
Mr. Ford was shipped IBM system board Part# 89P7933 on 12/4/2006.

On December 21, 2006 Mr. Ford called Minnesota Computers wanting to return the board as he had found one cheaper elsewhere. Minnesota Computers promptly issued RMA# 38992. Mr. Ford was reminded of the restocking fee he had agreed to verbally and in writing when he purchased via our online order system and the 30 day return policy. Mr. Ford agreed.

Mr. Ford did not return the board to Minnesota Computers until January 13th, 2007 which was past the 30 return period. Minnesota Computers told Mr. Ford they would still refund his money minus the restocking fee.
Mr. Ford though, before returning the board had filed (unknown to Minnesota Computers) a credit card dispute with Visa.

Minnesota Computers responded to the credit card dispute properly.
Minnesota Computers provided Visa all signed documentation by both parties.
Visa rightfully ruled in favor of Minnesota Computers.
Minnesota Computers received the restocking fee.
Mr. Ford received the rest of his money back.

Minnesota Computers went over and beyond on this transaction.
