This is a wonderfully advertised site, sounds so good but does not deliver what they say! I am elderly and disabled and could not afford to keep my long distance phone, so when I came across this add: 1 Month Free, No contracts, unlimited long distance, voice mail, call waiting, 3 way calling, caller ID, Call return, online account all for a set fee of $14.95 per month no Hidden Charges. You can cancell any time. I thought I finally found a way to keep in touch with my long distance children.

Zingotel of course charged my credit card at time of order. I understood I had to pay for shipping their (what they said later was a router), but at the time I was told a small connector. About 10 days later, I finally received this "gadget". The cable was broken on one end. Because I am using a wireless broadband with a router built in, theirs would not work. I contacted Customer Service to get assistance, which was slow and like pulling teeth. They only called me back twice during the ordeal of 3 weeks (while the clock was ticking on the free 30 days! I had a dial tone for approximately 4 hours, then lost the broadband as they conflicted. I could never get the dial tone back, thus I could not use the service. I wrote, called and continued to hope for assistance so I could use it. No Responses! I finally within the 30 days told them I could not use it and wanted to return the modifier/router and get credited back! During this whole time, unknown to me I was being charged for everything they could think of. Taxes, long distance (not working), rental of the modifier, voice mail. In short they finally said they would refund me the first month (by now I had been billed twice, including the free month). Though I had paid for shipment of the modifier, I now had to pay for sending it back! I never got to use it, but my credit card was charged in all $57.69. A letter went out to the Attorney General and papers with all documentation it's on the way to the Federal Trade Commission. Paying for a service received is one thing, but getting nothing and being taken it's another matter.

Thank you and please be aware of these kind of ripoff.
