Miracle Services ripoff unfinished job and overcharged tax and won't re-imburse Tracy California
I had this carpet service come to my home and clean my carpets. They told me they would move the couches during cleaning. They did not do this. Then they charged $8.00 tax on a $49.00 service. They will not reimburse me nor have they returned the 8 messages I have left for the owner. No one else says they can help.
Their receipt and the coupon does not show an address or city. Only an 888 phone number. But the coupon does show they are licensed and insured with a lic #.
All I want is to be reimbursed for my overcharge. Them not completing the job I can live with, but not overpaying for something. That is illegal.

I would like to comment on the tax being charge for "Service". In most places for example an oil change, you are charged sales tax on the entire item. When service and consumables are combined in one item, then sales tax is charged on the entire item. If the company breaks down the items i.e., cleaning solution, spot remover, etc. then sales tax is charged on only the consumables.
Generally the consumer comes out better if they are clumped up together. They would probably charge you for an entire bottle if broken down instead of .563343 which was actually used.
Check your receipt & your local tax code.
