I purchases some anti virus hardware in 12/16-- all was good.   I also purchased spy ware in June of 2017.

Everything was fine and working well until yesterday.  They say the spy ware is not working and wanted to refund my  purchase price plus $100 for my trouble, the catch was the company is only allowed to refund no less than $1,500 and then I was to 10  go to the store and buy 10 $100 ITune gift cards as the only way to give them back the additional funds.

When I told him the money was not in my account so he would not be getting any funds he hung up on me.  I hope they rot hell

It is highly unfortunate that this has happened to you, over the years these scams are run through internet and telemarketing calls. We have had a constant flow of these scammers calling and harassing our staff over the years. They misuse our company name in efforts to hamper our reputation and scam the customer. We have no relation or knowledge of who these fraudsters are. All three of the numbers are not related to our company nor is the website, we can attempt reaching the VOIP and hosting providers to guide you.

We are a genuine company have helped customers with countless hours of free support due to these scammers.I am writing to you in hopes to better understand your situation and guide you to investigate who has done this to you. The misuse of our name hurts our reputation and we hope we can help you, you can contact us at info@mirchmedia.com.

Please see below for our Anti-Scam Guidelines:

Phone Scam Alert, We just wanted to give you some simple guidelines on scam awareness. Contact is typically made through cold calls, direct mail or print advertisements. Always Remember: Never ever trust unsolicited calls. Do not provide any sensitive information to anyone. Moreover, most of the scammers are using Western Union in tricking unsuspecting victims into handing them money for so-called processing fees and the like due to its international presence and questionable security.

TIP:Services like Western Union are only meant for sending money to people you personally knew! Never use Western Union in wiring money to people you have never met – it’s very unsafe! Here are some guidelines and ways to protect you from the scam:

  • Do not be impulsive. Do not rush into things.

  • Make sure not to provide or confirm personal or financial information to unsolicited offers or request for information.

  • Don’t get enticed with “Freebies” or glowing testimonials.

  • Check all the information you are getting and if it’s too good to be true, think twice

  • Don’t easily give control of your computer to a third party unless confirmed to be from a legitimate representative of the subscriber company.

  • If the caller says he is from Tech Support Department, make sure to make verification and do not easily purchase any software or services he is offering.

  • Don’t hesitate to tell that you are not interested in the products or services offered and hang up.

  • Do not forget to take the caller’s information and immediately report it to local authorities

  • If malicious software has been downloaded to your computer and been accessed by the scammer, change your password immediately: main email account, financial accounts especially your bank and credit card

  • Make sure you have antivirus installed and scan your computer right away to remove malware presence.

Furthermore, IF YOU HAPPEN TO RECEIVE A CALL FROM SOMEONE SAYING THAT THEY ARE FROM A RANDOM COMPANY, THAT THE COMPANY IS GOING OUT OF BUSINESS AND WILL MAKE REFUNDS AROUND $1000, EVEN ASKING PAYMENTS FOR PROCESSING FEE COSTS, BEST THING TO DO IS NOT TO ENTERTAIN THE CALL AS THAT IS OBVIOUSLY A FRAUD. ACTUALLY, IT’S EASY TO AVOID SCAMS, ANY KIND OF SCAMS. JUST DON’T GET EASILY CAUGHT UP WITH FREEBIES OR GLOWING TESTIMONIALS FROM UNSOLICITED EMAILS OR CALLS. TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

We hope to help you as much as we can.

Thank You,

Management
