I attempted to order two items online on January 26, 2018.  When I went to the shopping cart to complete the order a popup informed me that I could get a third item "for free."  I selected the third item and then -- without finalizing or confirming the order -- was presented with a final order page that charged for 5 items.  I immediately contacted customer service (via chat messsaging) to cancel the order.  In fact I contacted customer service within 30 seconds of the "order." I was told the order would be cancelled.  I checked on the website and it said orders could be cancelled fully within 24 hours.

A few days later I received a message from customer service that they had already sent my order and could not cancel it. I wrote back and was assured that I could return the order once I received it -- given I had cancelled it immediately.  I received the order within a few weeks (around February 19th) in my mailbox.  There is no invoice or return information in the package.  I have exchanged at least 40 messages with customer service to get a return address and pre-paid label. They have responded in every way imaginable -- pressuring me to exchange the item for something else, telling me to send it to the return address label (on the package, which doesn't exist) and generally nonsensical responses that indicate they have not read my email of my initial complaint or followup requests.  It is clear that they are cutting and pasting random responses to my emails.  They have not -- to date -- given a return address or acknowledged that they sent me the product in error and that I had not actually confirmed the original order. I have tried calling the number as well -- but it leaves you on hold indefinitely.  I have tried contacting them through Facebook and they have blocked me.  I have noticed a number of complaints from other consumers with similar issues -- but in particular a promised "easy return" policy with literally, no return address or information whatsoever.  At minimum, I would like my money refunded (I have initiated a dispute with my credit card), but I also believe this company is regularly engaging in fraudulent practices.

I predict that someone from Mirror Essentials will respond to my complaint and request my name, address, order number, etc. to process a refund (which, should I respond, yet again, will lead to another circle of nonsense, starting with a plea to exchange the items, to replace the items, to get a discount off of other items, but never to just refund the order -- even though they promised that in all their correspondence with me).

If you are reading this because this happened to you -- please also file claims with the Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau. This company needs to be stopped.
