MISCHELL CARBAUGH, Kristen Herrick, Christie Doherty I was selling a Rolex watch on ebay. The buy who won the auction sent me a fraud Paypal item and scammed me to ship the watch. The scam paypal email said the item was paid and had paypal verified on it. I didn't realize they scammed me by creating this fake email until recently and now I know the scammer robbed me and committed fraud. Hagerstown Maryland
I was selling a watch on ebay. The person who won the auction has to pay for the item they won. I thought they did pay for it because I got a email from Paypal saying the item was paid for. I then shipped the watch to where the buyer wanted it to go and where the Paypal email I recieved said was a verified adress. I few days go by and I still didn't see the money in my paypal account. I emailed the PayPal email that showed the item was paid for and they replied by saying there was an error and as soon as it's resolved it will show up in my Paypal account.
A couple weeks later I still didn't see the money so I called PayPal. They told me that the buyer created a fraud Paypal account and scammed me into shipping the watch without them paying for it. By definition the buyer was committing the act of phishing and committed fraud. The scammer robbed me of watch that they were supposed to pay me 2500 dollars for.
