Complaint Review: Miss Chrissy's Plus Size Consignment Shop

This store owner is unyielding in her treatment of the customer. When I called to see if my dress had sold in her consignment shop, she began to argue with me and then hung up on me. When I called back to tell her that I had been disconnected, she said that she had chosen to end the phone call. When i tried to explain to her that I was calling about my dress, she blatently told me: "You are not calling about your dress because it is my dress now."

During the time that I had my dress in her store, a minivan drove thru the store front. I suspect that she either sold my dress and is not telling the truth so that she can retain the money owed me, or perhaps the dress got damaged and she got money for it from her insurance company. In either case, there is not indication of her not being liable for a car driving thru her storefront.

It is one thing if my dress didn't sell and she does not owe me money. However, she is so highly unprofessional and rude to the customer, so there is no way that she can stay in business and be respected if she greets all her customers with this treatment. There is a word for her, but I am a respectable person and will not use it. Use your imagination to fill in the blanks.

She is the plus size rip off queen of consignment and I hope she is proud of her "HOLE IN THE WALL" store! She has lost this customer, and customers who consign with her are her livelihood. How unfortunate that she does not have better training and business savvy to understand that good customer relations are the crux of her business.

Learn from my situation. Take your consignment items to a reputable consignment store and not this rip off haven.
