as the title suggests, i have actually gotten the originating company (t-mobile) to tell the debt collector that this was an error on the part of t-mobile. but they keep calling me. these people are NOT interrested in the truth, only money.

a little background. i got a call two months ago informing me that i owed this debt. i called t-mobile to find out why they went to collections without calling me first. after a bit of confusion and frustration on both ends, we came to the conclusion that there was a mix-up somewhere.

after two days the t-mobile rep figured out the the mix-up and called me to let me know that this was taken care of. i got contact info just in case. good thing. when mitchell kay called, i passed the contact info to the rude in-duh-vidual and figure all would work itself out.

WRONG!

after the third phone call, i confrenced all of us together and had the t-mobile person explain to this moron that there was a screw-up at t-mobile and that they needed to stop harrassing me.

this did not get the point across. the next phone call the rep from mitchell kay acussed me of faking the t-mobile call! even though she was able to answer all of his "security" questions!

if i have to sue these idiots to get them off of my back i'll have to collect lost wages for the times that i "clocked out" to chase this thing down... wonder how deep their pockets are?

I'm sure their pockets are deep, but you won't be getting any "lost wages" damages out of them

The good news is that you may well be entitled to damages that may well exceed any lost wages.

It's not really worth it for me to get into the particulars of the relevant laws, because if you really want to stick it to these guys, you need to hire a lawyer of your own who will do all of that for you. Start looking for a local firm that is experienced in debt collections and the FDCPA.

In the meantime, NO MORE phone conversations with these guys. Make sure that everything is in WRITING.

I am currently getting calls from what I thought was Mitchell anD Kaye attorneys.

I Don't have any Debts so I have ignoreD them.

After looking on this sight, I think it must be Mitchell N. Kay.

They have a recorDing that says if you continue listening you confirm that you are the person they are calling. I t then goes on to say they are trying to collect a Debt anD to call this number with this control number.

I think people may be interesteD to know this number so if they are getting the same calls we may all know this is just part of the same scam.

the number is: 8774064855
