Transmission was taken to their place of business to be rebuilt. Took longer than said to get done. When done noticed several things not done, first was torque convertor not rebuilt as requested, transmission case was extremely dirty, reverse band had not been adjusted, nor was the servo unit even touched.

Several plugs had been stripped and not rethreaded or replaced. The torque converter had metal shavings in it as well as wire brush filings in it. I flushed out myself, replaced plugs and installed unit. It did not function properly. It hesitated 10 seconds before going into drive.Called up and described problem. Had to pull out of car again. Took back to transmission shop, explained problem and all thigs not done prior. Got back second time, nothing had been replaced, dirty as before, and noticed that certain things had been altered from before, meaning to me they forgot to do something before.

They did find out that they had torn a front pump seal,
( id say it was because of an incompetent worker doing the work or the person hurried the job to get it out the door). Put unit back into car, shifted fine, but somewhat firmer. Now my new problem is that i have several leaks on the unit.

Was told by another shop that the transmission did not get a certain seal replaced and thats why it leaks. If im not mistakin here i paid for a overhaul job-- that means complete from end to end. I just keep thinking- how many times does a person have to take a transmission out before the shop gets the job done, i would say only once, wouldnt you. ?
