In April 2002 my son bought a 2002 Eclipse. He then went to Germany leaving the car stateside with first my son-in-law and then my daughter. In Dec. 2002 he came home on leave and brought the car to my house in Ca.
In April 2003 he was deployed to Iraq. While there he was making substantial money and could pay his car off. He did this and while home on leave in Aug. after 15 months of HELL he decided to trade his car in for a Hundai Tiburon.

He had paid 12 months of payments of at least $1,000 or more. When they ran a credit check on him it said he still owed MMCA $12,000. But when he talked to customer service they told him he had one more payment of $133.69 and that wasn't due until May 2005.

Needless to say, my son was turned down by several loan companies because it still showed $12,000 owed to MMCA. He got $9,000 for his car and gave the dealership another $3,000. All this went to MMCA who should not have gotten it in the first place.

Now my son's credit is ruined. How can I help him get back his money?
