Mitsubishi Motors my name was used on a car as co-signer and was forged on a car that i did not know anything about runining my credit how do i correct this San Antonio texas

i wanted to buy a house but when i checked on my credit there was a bad debt for a mitsubishi, i have never bought amitsubishi, nor have i been to a mitsubishi dealers,

i have not bought anything on credit since 1980
all i can figure out is someone used my name .

i would like to know how are have this corrected.
why this company did not check for id.
motor number is 100030068908390/

I think the first thing you should do is contact mitsubishi motor credit @ 1-800-499-8959 and let them know what is going on. Then i would contact the police and the credit reporting agencys...transunion equifax experion and dispute the report
