I went to mitsubishi of easley in may of 2005 in search of a car. My cousin was a salesman at the time so I asked for him to assist me in finding the right vehicle for me. He helped in filling out the credit application and while I was waiting for the results to come back the manager and i beleive his name was mark fired my cousin right in the middle of dealing with a customer. Regardless me being his cousin that was just ridiculous.

So now mark was assisting me in the vehicle search. We picked out a car i test drove filled out the rest of the paper work. mark told me that i could either wait to find out if i got it and that would be like two hours or i could leave and give him a call around lunch time so thats what i did. at about 130 that day i called and he informed me that i had gotten the loan and for my husband and i to come back that afternoon to sign the paper work.

my husband and i returned to mitsubishi of easley that afternoon to sign the papers and now there was something wrong but they wouldnt tell us exactly what it was. but mark assured me that i had the car and not to worry about it that when they got the glitch worked out that he would personally bring the papers to our home for us to sign and he would deliver the car himself.

we waited almost a week and still no news about the vehicle. so my husband called him to find out what the problem was. and mark told him that we would have to put a 500 dollar down payment on the car which was no problem but then all of the sudden we didnt make enough money. so mark told us to let him work the problem out and assured us again that we had the car and not to worry about it.

well needless to say im driving a 05 honda civic now that sure enough did not come from mistubishi of easley. but i will be certain to let everyone know about the run around that we recieved from them and how we are still waiting to sign the papers on our car and i advise any one that intends on purchase a mitsubishi not to go to mitsubishi of easley find another mitsubishi dealer it would be in your best interest

It sounds like we have the exact same story, terrible run around.

It seems almost like they decide they don't want to sell you the car after all.

When it happened to us, they had a set internet price, that was below kbb, when we wanted to purchase the car, problems arose, which were never explained, with credit that had never been turned down ever before. Sure enough the very next day the price was almost $3,000 higher.

You Were Lucky You Weren't "Spotted"

I think Easley did you a favor. Most dealerships would have "spotted" you and not let you leave without "buying" a car and taking it home with you. Then the calls would have started for you to bring in more money, sign a contract with higher payments, etc. They didn't put you in a car until they were sure you had financing, for which you should be glad. I know it was a hassle waiting to see if you had a loan and wasting some time, but in the long run, it worked out better for you.
