MJJ Auto - Supercars Unlimited Odometer Fraud! Lemon Sellers! Capitalize on AS IS WARRANTY! Scam Artists! DO NOT TRUST!! Ripoff South River New Jersey
I like many, found a used car of interest on Autotrader.com. MJJ made me make an appointment (that they "forgot" about) to see the 94 Integra i wanted. It took 45 minutes for them to get the car from Supercars unlimited, and they were hesitant to allow me to test drive the car.
Upon first glance, the car seemed to be in decent working order. A week later, I learned that there was only a few miles left on the existing clutch, there were no low beam headlights, the key they gave me only worked for the ignition and none of the doors, there was no antena, the spare tire was for a Ford Mustang, and the mileage on the title was more than on the car itself?
The worst part is the hood flew up into my face on the highway, smashing my windshield and side mirrors and fenders. Not to mention I almost died!
I have spent nearly $2,000 on repairs for a car i paid retail ($6,000) for. When I contacted them for compensation, they simply stated that I had signed an AS-IS NO WARRANTY contract, and that they were not liable.
I warn you, these people are scam artists! They even create the illusion that multiple people are calling about your car while your checking it out. DO NOT BUY FROM MJJ AUTO aka SUPERCARS UNLIMITED!!!

Well, Karl, 'next' time you might want to
1. Believe nothing you are told.
2. Always assume there is something bad wrong with the vehicle- otherwise, why did the previous owner dump it?.
3. Scrutinize everything.
4. Take someone along who knows about the mechanicals and bodywork of cars/trucks and tends to be negative. Optimism can run you into the poor house.
I looked at many used cars in my young and reckless days. I always looked for the reason "Why did the previous owner dump it". [This works for houses, too.] 99% of the time I found the reason, and often it was that the car had been wrecked. Very few body shops assemble body parts with the same care and then paint the cars as well as does the factory, especially Japanese cars.
I looked at a used Ford van many many years ago. The seller said it still had 5000 miles of transferrable new vehicle warranty. You can trust a recent vintage van with some transferrable factory warranty, right? This van was quite decent except that the speedo did not work when my wife & I took the van for a test drive. I pulled out my flashlight and I looked under the dash. I found the very dirty black and fuzzy end of the disconnected speedo cable. I passed on that van.
