MN Auto Finance Humble, TX Iris wants to repo your car after you late even though you have never been late before BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE Humble Texas
I used to think this place was amazing but now I do not do not do business with these people. I have never been late on any payment as they were set up on auto payments right off my debit card. Well I just spent two weeks in the hospital and am going on short term disability well that will not be on my check till the 7th if Aug at what time I can get caught back up. Well they refuse to work with me and now want to repo my car and the note is only 18 days past due. 10 months of perfect payment history and not willing to work with you not a good company.

I have tried to talk with someone else with no luck. I am selling some of my stuff off to even get it paid sooner then later. I should even have the full payment this Friday but that is no guarantee but as heck trying to make it happen. Either way the 7th for sure but more then likely this week. I do understand about sub prime but heck after 10 months never late I even offered to bring paperwork from the hospital and my short term disability paperwork so they would know I am telling the truth.

They actually don't want to reposess your car, they just want you to pay what you made a legal agreement to do. But a repo is really the last straw for a lender. Where contrary to what you may think there was nothing in your contract that said you only had to pay when you could. There is also nothing in the contract that requires them to "work with you".
Now, they are a "Sub-Prime" lender. Meaning that you have not proven that you can handle credit, as such they were probably the only lender who was willing to take a chance on you. But they of course are now in a bit of Deja Vu....amazingly you again are having credit issues. Regardless of the reason you had credit issues in the past are as meaningless as the reasons now, all lenders care about is that you can not handle credit.
One other thing that Sub-Prime lenders are. Because they are dealing with people who have a history of not paying, they are going to be a lot more agressive in collecting your account. Especially if you become delinquent. As such you will get threats of repo a lot sooner than more traditional lenders. But that is just because they have heard it all, and the person who told you they wanted to repo the car probably heard the same excuse you gave a couple dozen times before they talked to you...and 90% of those people were lying. They are not going to take the time to figure out who is lying or not.
What does this mean to you? Well on the plus side it is likely that if you are being truthful there is a chance your car won't get reposessed and they could be all talk. Perhaps if you call back to them you may find someone a bit more sympathetic. However, I can say that if on August 7th you don't pay them, you can expect that they will know you lied and on August 8th would probably have it reposessed.
