I noticed an unauthorized charge for some sort of messenger service on my cell phone bill (the secondary line that my Mom uses).  I called T-Mobile, and they said they would unsubscribe me and block such services from being downloaded, but that only the company itself could reverse the charge.  They said it was likely that they somehow got the cell phone number and sent a text to it hoping someone would respond and sign up.

I called Mobile Media Solutions, and they claimed that there were many steps to complete before someone was "signed up".  They would not refund the charge.  They claim that an online survey/popup was likely filled out, a text was sent with a code, and then the code was submitted (meaning that someone signed up for the service).  This is all ridiculous, as there is no way that it was clear what someone would be signing up for, nor was the service ever used.
