I have 50 years worth of belongings stored at Mobile Mini and have been with them close to 8 years. In May of 2012 I received a letter stating I owed $356.00 in back payments. After disagreeing with them I called my bank and requested copies of all checks to Mobile Mini be sent to me. I received them three days later. Because I am on S.S.I. I called and spoke with Alana who went extra lengths to have  my payments be due the first of every month. While speaking with her she said I could pay it online. I took her advice and this is where my hell with them started!

On Sept. 1, 2011 I gave them permission to take monthly payment out of my checking.  Not only did they take Sept. payment two weeks later they took another payment causing the checks I wrote for my other bills to bounce. I immediately contacted Mobile Mini and spoke to Alana. She assured me she would talk to her bosses and get back to me.  She called me back a few days later. She told me that due  to the inconvenience  they were giving me Octobers rent free and Novembers would be $75.00.

At that time I told her I would decline paying my storage online anymore and that I would send them a check the first of every month. Things went smooth for a few months then I received a bunch of late charges. I called Alana and she said it was a computer error and she would take care of it. I believe that was the first of 2012. Since then I have had no problems until May of this year when I received the $356.00 bill. Once again I called Mini Mobile and asked for Alana. I was informed she no longer worked in that dept.

I asked where she was and I was once again told she no longer worked that dept. The lady I spoke to refused to tell me how to get a hold of her.  At this time I let her know I was taking my check copies to my accountant, who happened to be the accountant for a business that dealt with Mobile Mini. My accountant said she was very familiar with Mobile Mini and to bring everything to her.

A few days later she called Mobile Mini and spoke to Laura. She spoke in length with her and emailed her the check copies she asked for, which showed I have never missed a payment. Laura was given the check amount, date it was written and the day they deposited my check. Everything was straightened out and then I received a letter threatening to put a lien on my belongings this month. I am now back to square one. This company I believe is frauding the public. I was never told about payments going to be 13 times a year. I don't know how this is going to work out, I will keep you posted.

Since my last complaint about mobile mini I have written the corporate office on five different occassions.  Mobile mini billing employees still find it nescessary to sent me late notices even after my account was set to run every 30 days years ago. I have spoken to every high authority at the corporate office and I have always came out the winner except for this last time.  Once again I recieved a late notice in Nov. for the month of JULY.  My question to the CEO Erik Olsson is, why has it taken over 4 months to be notified I missed a payment in July?  I am so sick of mini mobile that if they would agree to move my bin back here to Orange County free of charge and pay a months rent on it, I would leave there so quick that their heads would still be spinning. I would NOT reccomend  Mobile Mini to my worse enemy.

This is what has transpired since I filed a complaint againt Mobile Mini. For the last 3 days I have tried to speak with someone who could handle this issue. I was told someone would call me back and of course no one did.  Yesterday I spent my time faxing the corporate office 11 pages of documents and copies my checks they have deposited in their account. Today I received a notice they were going to sale my lifetime of belongings. I left a voice mail to the president of mobile mini an hour ago asking him to call me back. His name is  Steven Bunger. As of right now I have not got a return call. This corporation doesn't know their right hand from their left. They continue to send you to this person or that person and none of them know what they are doing. Wish me luck on this one. If I lose everything I worked my whole life for just because they don't know how to fix a billing error I will sue their eyeballs right out of their sockets.
