I first met Shandell Ryal Woods at a modelling "talent" show at our local mall in Citrus Park in the Tampa, FL area. They sold themselves as "talent scouts" but her daughters actually take and sell you pictures so that you can get a "modelling contract" from Model Select Agency. We bought pictures from them for $150 and were "awarded" a modelling contract for my daughter at Model Selct Agency.

The contract instructs you to have modelling cards made with the pictures you bought. This costs another $150 and you are required to use PrintWithInk.com, which is also a company related to Model Select Agency. They tell you you can print anywhere you like, but the cards must be to their exact specs or they will be rejected. No, you actually then cannot get them printed anywhere else because they will not release their Model Select Agency logo so you can get them printed or formatted elsewhere. Furthermore, no one answers the phone or email at PrintWithInk.com so even if you wanted the logo or formatting from them or had a question, you're out of luck. Figuring we had nothing to lose except the printing costs since we'd already spent the $150 on pictures, we had the cards made.

When we received the cards, we mailed the 40 required cards and "resumes" plus signed contract to Model Select Agency on October 31, 2015 and it was received by them on November 2nd. According to the directions, you will receive an access code to start applying for modelling jobs through their website within 1-2 weeks. Having not received anything, I called and email Model Select. No response. In fact, their phone number goes automatically to voicemail that says "we are now closed" and I see by checking the number that it is shared with other companies in the Miami area. They do not return calls. They do not return emails.

I have to assume by the lack of response, the ambiguity of the listed phone number, the multiple business names and frequent company name changes that this company doesn't actually exist and I have been scammed. I would like a refund of my $305.75 for the pictures and the $150 printing costs plus shipping for these useless modelling cards with a bogus company name and phone number on them.
