Complaint Review: Modern Auto Air

Took my Mazda to Mike at Modern Auto Air because the car kept jerking and wanting to stall.  Mike said it was bad "coils" and replaced them to the tune of $1,100. There was no itemization on the bill at all; it just said "coils". A month later the car was doing the same thing. He allegedly replaced the rest of the "coils" and he didn't charge us again.

Shortly after the car started the same thing and this time Mike said it was an air hose which he claimed he replaced. When taking the car for an oil change someplace else I mentioned the ongoing problem with the car. The mechanic there found that Mike never replaced the air hose, he just put black electrical type around it which had started to come off. I still have the hose in my trunk and will take a picture and post soon.

I would never, ever bring my vehicle there for any reason.  I would have taken him to small claims court but my husband was terminally and died in August 2010.
