MODERN PEST SERVICES WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR THERMAL HEAT TREATMENT MANCHESTER New Hampshire

During the beginning of the summer of June 2013, I hired Modern Pest Services for thermal heat for bed bugs. The intial fee for their services was $1200 so I had to remove my pets and myself for at least 6-8 hours. After the treatment bed bugs anyway in my placent was completed, the tech said, "you might notice a few alive bed bugs up two weeks later. After two weeks, I was cleaning of my cat's carpeted cat tree and noticed a live bed bug crawl right across the secong floor of the cat trees. I notified Moden Pest Services by phone and they sent over a tech for a visual bed bug inspection. He went through my apartement with no luck. Another two weeks pasted by without no sign of bed bugs. A week later, I was cleaning of my cat tree and noticed a live bed bug again on my cat tree. I noticed Modern Pests again and they sent the same tech over for another visual inspection. Of course, he found no evidence of bed bugs. I wasn't happy with the tech's search cause he's only human. Sometimes these bugs can be in the finest places including the walls. I hired their canine inspection team and they quickly went through my aprtment and the trainer came back out about 5 minutes later. He said, " the canine tested positive for bed bugs in my mattress and loveseat. I was quoted at a $75 fee for the canine inspection. I received a bill for $199 for the inspection instead of the $75 fee. I threw my couch, loveseat, and mattress to the landfill.I received other furniture from family but I have no clue if I'm bed bug free. I have no more money to hire another canine inspection. It's not fair cause I paid $1200 for a failed treatment. On their website, it states, " money back if not satisfied."

Modern Pest Services is a family owned company and we take all complaints, as well as client satisfaction very seriously. I apologize that your experience left you with an unclear resolution to your bed bug problem. There are some factors related to the limitations of both Thermal Remediation and traditional pesticide applications that may have contributed to this situation, and we work very hard to see that these factors, as well as billing discrepancies, do not negatively affect our clients.
