I built my current home 9 years ago and selected brass plated Moen bath fixtures. Shortly after installation the fixtures began tarnishing to varying degrees. Upon calling Moen they were happy to replce the tarnished componets and explained that they were using an inferior plating method but were addressing the problem. Over the next few years parts that were replaced, tarnished again - obviously I was still receiving poorly plated product. Cusotmer service was always happy to replace the tarnished replacements. I thought they were truly standing behind my investment. On my last call in 12/03 Moen is no longer replacing replacement parts that tarnished. As a contractor I bought my last Moen bath fixture.
