Upon visiting the practice on 7/3/2008, I was confronted by the office Manager. She felt it appropiate to disclose confidential insurance information in the waiting area about my son and what kind of coverage we receive. She went on to tell me how I should be happy that some work that was done on my son was not covered by my insurance however they did it anyway. Once Dr. Molly Gunsaulis became aware of the situation out front she came out to address the sitation, and although handling it in a calm and professional manner, did not correct the office manager as she continued to over speak and interrupt the Doctor.

Overall I felt due to the type of insurance I had that this office was attempting to do unneeded procedures to collect from the insurance company, as on one other occasions I requested not to use a numbing medication I did not feel was needed. They insisted. In addition to this I feel they purposly scheduled several appointments in an effort to charge for office visits to the insurance company rather than to just be effiencent and complete the procedures in two visits.

I will be filing a complaint with the Dental Commissioner and pending the outcome will post their findings. The office was clean and invites a invironment for children, however the professionalism of the Office manager set the tone for our last visit there. I feel customer service goes a long way and in my opinion there is a lack of professionalism within this practice.

I am a single parent of an 8 year old girl; Dr. Molly Gunsaulis was nothing but by the book when it came to my child dental care. I am on state help and I did not feel that she treated me any different. Her up to date office and modern technology is why I will keep going back.

My question to you is how many people were in the office when you were discussing your information.

Most likely because the office was only a couple of months old when this was filed, you and your child were most likely the only one in the office.
So how can she be violating HIPPA law? Not violating if you and your child only hear it.

The office is only one year old almost year and half, so the amount of patients at the time was probably less than 100. I feel your lack of information totally skews the view of this wonderful practice. It is a shame that people only read one side to a story.

Again I would definitely recommend this dentist to any parent who wants clean, friendly, and the last technology on the market. She is wonderful and caring and I think everyone should give her a chance, I know I did and my child actually looks forward to the dentist, and most parents cannot say that. In addition it really is hard to find an educated and people friendly female dentist. In my mind, there is nowhere else I would rather take my child. That is why I would say to any and all parents give her a chance I know your child will love her just as much as my child has.
