I feel in love with an 11 week old morkie at Molly's Puppies. I felt so sorry for all the dogs there because I just thought they looked so sad to be locked up and confined. Now I know that they are sad because they are sick! I brought home my morkie on Friday, took him to the vet for a check up on Saturday(there vet, stupid me)and I was told he looks good. On the following Tuesday(3 days later) he was showing signs of kennel cough. Wednesday I took him back to the vet and sure enough he had kennel cough but his lungs "sounded good". If his lungs where ok and it wasn't that bad then why did he need 2 nights and 3 days of hospital stay to treat him? Finally took him home Friday afternoon with medication and thought he was much better because he was full of so much energy that he never showed before. The next day things started going down hill. He was showing signs of weakness, loss of appetite, and had diareah with blood in his stool. Couple days later no improvement so we decided to take him to a different vet (what a difference in service) and they ran there own test. They found he had 2 types of parasites, kennel cough still, low blood count, and was anemic. Really!!! The other vet didn't catch any of this!! I forgot to mention that I do not have any other pets and he has only been in the house( do to he doesn't have all his sets of vaccinations yet), so the only place he got so sick from was from the puppy store and where they get there puppies from. Bottom line....they sell sick dogs probably from puppy mills. So far his medical bills are more then the actual dog cost me, but we already love him and will do what it takes make him healthy( i would say again but I don't think he ever was).

I can't believe that people are still SO nieve....EVERY SINGLE DOG IN A PET STORE IS FROM A PUPPY MILL. NO BREEDER WOULD EVER SELL PUPPIES TO A PET STORE. WAKE UP, PEOPLE!!!! NAIVITY IS WHY PET STORES THRIVE!

Those poor animals deserve more love, and hundreds are put to sleep every day because no one will adopt them.

No, I bought the dog from a pet store. Not all pet stores get there dogs from mills. How the heck was I supposed to know the dog had issues. Don't be so quick to judge! A morkie is a mix of maltese and yorkie.

You bought a living being from a Puppy Mill and wonder why it is sick?

I grew up with Yorkies,  what in the heck designer dog idea is a Morkie and what did you pay?
