Complaint Review: Momax Builders

After reading the posted articles I wanted people to know we experienced identical problems on a smaller scale.

Momax was hired to build a 'shell' on our second floor. They were to dormer half of the upstairs, install two dog house windows and build a small balcony outside the master bedroom. We did the interior work ourselves.

Our payments were made as different phases of the project were completed, until the first experience of a poorly installed shingled flat roof. I held money owed until it was fixed properly, which after severl messages and emails, it was repaired.

Delays in project completion, language barriers, unreturned phone calls, etc. were experienced repeatedly.

Our project started in May 2004 and should have taken approximately 8 weeks. We still have some unfinshished work.

I would like to add, that for us, Luke Rosseland was the only person who ever returned our calls regardless of the time of day. He was at our job-site more than the foreman. He took picture, made phone calls and at one point Fred would not even speak to him.

I am sorry for all that everyone has been through and hope this stops another family from having their dreams turned into nightmares.
