Momax Builders sales bull! Ripoff! Northbrook Illinois
WE were SOLD on our project by Momax's ace salesman, Luke Rosseland and made the unfortunate decision to put down a deposit of $35,000 to lock in the prices. Six months later we decided to back out of the project which would have cost over $300,000, and tried to contact both Fred Resnick and Luke Rosseland on numerous occasions to get our deposit back.
Fred never called back. Luke called once to say that he was no longer with the company, but he would pass our message on to Fred. Since then we have called many, many times. Even threatened legal action if we didn't get our deposit back as was promised by Luke when we signed on to having this work done, if we changed our mind.
Thank God we didn't proceed with the project. After reading the horror stories of those of you who got so badly burned by these guys I'm thankful that we never got started on the actual remodeling project which would have gutted most of our house.
Still we're out $35,000 and we are fuming! We definitely want to join in on any class action suit or other legal action that anybody puts together. We've already contacted our attorney and will be sending a demand letter to Momax this week. If they don't respond we will also file a lawsuit.
Sorry for all who had their dreams ruined by this unscrupulous outfit. Now all we can do is hope this character doesn't flee to the bankruptcy court for protection from creditors, which all of us will become at that point. That can happen within one day! Very disheartening.
