Two weeks ago while cashing my check at a check cashing store, I was offered the option of opening up a card with Momentum Visa to make it easier to recieve my Direct Deposit. I was told direct deposit was super easy and that the funds become available immideately and that the only requirement to activate the card was $20. I signed up for it and everything seemed to be fine. I knew i had 2 weeks prior to my next direct deposit so i printed out their direct deposit form and supplied it to my place of employment. The day before payday, which is a Thursday, I called the number in the back of the card, to assure that a deposit was heading into the card and that i would have my money by Thursday! Upon contacting them, a young lady on the phone informed me that the way their system works is that if a deposit is not made by 8am on the day of pay, then you will have to wait for the following Business day, and according to her, that would happen on Monday. I do not understand how a direct deposit of funds transfered would require a day of processing however, respectfully i opted out of using their services and requested that they close the card and stop any payments from posting. The girl took a little under 2 minutes to do and so i assumed issue would be resolved and that my funds would be sent back to my company. The next day, my funds were deposited to them through Paychex Flex. I came in expecting the funds to have been denied and a check be issued, however my manager and Paychex Flex both confirmed that Momentum Visa had my funds. I contacted Momentum visa at (855-721-5041) and spoke with a young girl on the phone. After i explained the situation the girl stated that if my card had still been active, I would of been able to recieve my funds that day because it was an electronic transfer. Confused, I requested to speak to a supervisor. Vin (supervisor) informed me that what i had been told previously by the young girl was incorrect and that i would not have been able to access my funds until Monday. I requested that Vin explain to me why they were handing out these cards under false pretenses to consumers. I explained that when i walked into the cash checking store, I was told that my funds would be available immideately. Vin claims that this is not what was stated, even though he was not there, and that this is how their system works. He could not explain to me why the cash checking stores did not explain how their system works. What bothers me most is this company requires your personal information but is gaining customers by being completely dishonest to consumers about their services. Vin was absolutely rude and when i asked for their corporate number, I was told that he is in coorperate and that he is the TOP guy to talk to. I ended the call with him informing that i would file a complaint because i still want to know why they are offering these services to consumers without explaining how their services work and how long their process takes to pay you! Now due to not only their lack of professionalism and how badly Vin handled the situation, I will do my best to make sure that clients and people that i know, do not utilize their services. Please get better managers to assist and stop lying to consumers about the time frame for the services you render :)

Now due to not only their lack of professionalism and making me aware of how their system works, it will take me until Monday before i recieve my check. As for Vin, I believe he requires the proper training prior to taking on calls from a consumer that has been lied to. The cash checking stores are equipped with cameras and he had the nerve to imply that what i was told there was not really what i was told! I will do my best to make sure that clients and people that i know, do not utilize their services. Please instruct and train the people that you are allowing to provide us information pertaining to your services and ALSO, make sure that your supervisors are well equipped to handle a call when a customer/consumer is having an issue in regards to their PAY! Now, I must wait until Monday to get my paycheck. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
