Monarch Pools & Spas committed to provide an assessment on-site call and replace the pool motor if it was broken. Claiming his repair technician carries motors in their truck the motor would be replaced the same day.

When the tech came took a look at the motor, took less than 10mins. and said it had to be replaced but it needed to be ordered. Handed me a bill of $648.24 for a motor that cost $289. I later found out by calling a pool supply company. In addition I had to take another day for them to come back to install it.

When I called the company to report this and cancel the service they promised not to deposit the check, write void on the check and return it to me. They also took a credit card # to charge for the service call.

This happened on 10/11/01. On10/17 I realized that they cashed the check and when informed they would not return my check and wanted to charge the service call again. They were rude and the service manager Mr. Richardi never returned my call & his employees claimed he had just left the building. Poor customer service, unfullfilled service and unresponsive to the complaint.
