I made the mistake of looking for a loan with bad credit. I applied online. A Brian Wright calls me and tells me i am approved for$6000 i was surprised but happy.

I was looking to consolidate some debts and have a good Christmas.  He tells me i have to pay first 2 payment on the loan as insurance to Cardiff Pinnacle . So he faxes me contract to sign  I sign and send money. Now he tells me that I would have money in my account in thee days.

On the third day I get a call from a Marry Bennett telling me that the insurance would not insure small loans from private lenders that the insurer has approved me for $10000 and I would get the money in my account in 24hours all I have to do is sign new contract and send more money for insurance to cover first 4 months payments.

Now I thought this is strange but was assured that I would have money in 24hours.  Well I signed and sent money. Next day no loan so I call Marry Bennett numerous times and get voice mail.  Late in the day she calls and say money would be in my account later that day. Well that didnt happen. Never was able to get her again.

Brian Wright returns my call tells me that they had a glitch but was fixed and I would get the money that day.   Two days of calling him with no luck he calls to tell me that they have a problem with the insurer and that if they dont fix problem by 4 that afternoon they would refund my money with compensation.Tells me he will call after 4.  He didnt call. Next day I try to call him and Marry with no reply. By the end of the day the voice mail is full for whole company..

Reporting to the law won't do much good.

This is not a real company, just a group of scammers that figured a way to get you to send them untraceable cash.  It's called the Advance Fee Loan Scam and is one of the more popular scams on the  Internet these days.    The scammers use fake or stolen business names, fake contact names, phony websites, phony contracts.   After word gets out about this "company" name, they'll just start all over with a new name.

Although it wasn't mentioned in your post, the key to the scam is getting you to send money that is not traceable to them.   Generally, Western Union, Moneygram, Moneypack and Green Dot are used.   Legitimate businesses don't require anonymous cash transfers.

Reporting this to law enforcement will not likely do any good.    All the info that you have on them is made up.   The cash transfers can be picked up anywhere in the world.  Law enforcement has nowhere to go with these types of scams.

The one good thing you did was to post the company name here.  You may save someone from a similar fate.  If they Google the fake company name, your report will pop up.

While this same scam is reported hundreds of times every year on this site, I'm sorry to say that I have yet to hear of anyone identifying the scammers, much less getting their money back.

I would like to know if anyone has filed a complaint with BBB or the FTC about this company.

I have filed a complaint.  As well as the RCMP.

I hope anyone that has dealt with Money garden financial will do the same.
