Have you ever felt cheated on a magazine subscription? Maybe they billed you two or three times in the same one-year period, or it just SEEMED like you didn't get all issues you paid for? I decided to keep track, write down exactly when I paid, and how long the subscription should last.

I subscribed to MONEY magazine - a 13-month subscription beginning November 2003. My check for $9.95 was cashed by MONEY in October 2003.

Today, January 27, 2004, having received only TWO ISSUES of my 13-issue subscription, I received a letter from MONEY ("form letter", no phone number, no email address, just "Michael Dukmejian, Publisher"), which quite magnanomously offered to "EXTEND" my subscription ("now up for renewal") for an additional year, at the "low professional rate" of $14.95.

They provide no phone number or email address to which I can respond, and I am not about to WASTE A STAMP. So I decided the least I can do is warn others. I am SURE this is a COMMON PRACTICE! Keep careful track of your subsriptions and don't pay what you don't owe.

I think a class action suit is in order, to STOP these blatent attempts to pick our pockets. They are making millions off good people who pay their bills.
