Money Plus Saver Illegally deducted $ from my checking account Los Angeles California
I made the mistake of applying for a couple of payday loans last month. I am in the process of working with a third party to consolidate the resulting debt and as a result, I closed my old checking account and opened a new one about a week and a half ago. Before I did, a company called Money Saver Plus withdrew $89 from my old checking account, via a "check" that I did not sign (visible on my online bank account page). I chose to swallow this bogus fee since I was closing this account, but they managed to deduct another $19.95 from my NEW checking account in the same manner, using a bogus unsigned check (with my old checking account # on it).
They are impossible to reach by phone, they do not return calls, and they do not return e-mails. Clearly, their entire system is designed to dodge any direct contact with the people they are ripping off. This entity is not anyone that I ever contacted. They are not one of the payday loan providers. They have not provided me with a "product" of any kind -- but clearly, they got my personal information, including bank account info, from one of these payday lenders. Obviously, since there is no "product" that they provide, they are solely in the business of theft. As if the 600% interest on the payday loans wasn't enough, greedy thieves like the people at Money Saver Plus delight in adding insult to injury and outright stealing from people in vulnerable financial situations.
