I was contacted back in December by Money Tree MOrtgage. I talked to Ron Massey and he said that we were approved for a mortgage 80/100. I was told that I had to put $300.00 up front and once I was approved for a mortgage I would get this $300.00 back.. It would take 60 to 90 days to get approved after I signed all the necessary papers and got them back to the company with in a few days. I have tried to call, left messages and faxed this company and no one will return the calls. These people are bottom feeders and need to be stopped before more poeple are screwed out of their money. I have bad credit and thought this would be great for me. Was I wrong.

It wouldn't do me much good to get my state banking commission involed since they weren't even licesed in Minnesota. They knew that and took my money anyway. I only got ripped off $200 not $300 like most everyone else. I have done what I can do for now with them. The Woodstock Police Dept has launched and investigation against them, and has called in the FBI. When I talked with the Detective at the police dept, he said he wasn't sure if they would be doing the investigation, or the FBI. They aare going to find themselves in some deep sh*t in the future. The Det. said be patient it may take several months. I would suggest calling the Woodstock Police Dept and ask for Chief Detective King. The more conplaints the better. If it helps any, I was reassured that they are not going anywhere. They are keeping a very close eye on them. I guess just call(you can get the # from directory assistance) and place your complaint with him and add your name to the long growing list. If we stick together we can all bring them down. I warned Money Tree I would not give up. I told them I would go away if they gave me my money back and if they didn't, I was calling the police and every place I could think of that would bring them down. And, I did. Keep in touch as to what happens in June I would love to get an idea what they are facing. Best of luck to you

My wife and I were also scammed out of $300.00 by Money Tree Morgtgage back in July of 2003. We have made various contacts to state agencies and finally have received notification from the State Banking Commissioner of Kansas that they have revoked Money Tree's license in the state of Kansas and have asked us to testify at a hearing against Money Tree in June. If you want to bring this company down, the best way is to contact your state banking commissioner's office. Their office is the one that issues licenses for mortgage companies to do business in your state. Good luck! It's time for this company to end.

If you have extra time, go into all of the complaints against Money Tree. There is a lot of pi**ed off people on this web site concernig Money Tree. Bad Business bureau is great. Several people have sent in comments and tips. I too was ripped off. I knew something was wrong when they told me that I had to clear some things from my credit report. When I asked what, they tried to stall me by telling me to order a credit report and dispute the negative items and it should take 90-120 days. Yeah right. I didn't have any problems with my credit. This gave them enough time to try and screw me over. I called the Woodstock GA police dept. I spoke with a Detective King. They are all well aware of their fraud and are keeping close eye on them. When I called the other day to Det. King, he informed me that they had called the FBI. I would suggest you call and add your name to the list. You can get the phone number from directory assistance. Det. King is a wonderful person and is truly doing averything possible to get these thieves. May as well join the crowd. Best of luck to us all.
